Once Torre del Lago was called Guinigi Tower, named after the family that had one, then becoming owned by the family Turks changed its name to the Turkish Torre. It was only towards the end of 1700 that the place was marked with the name of the Church and Tower Lake. The area was connected to the road Aurelia only in the early 1920, when it was created a road that cut into thick pine forest. Today the area is famous for tourism, in fact these activities are bars, restaurants, bathrooms and bazaar. The area is also known for the festival that takes place at the Teatro Outdoor every year, and as always welcomes thousands of spectators, lovers of opera and theater.
